Project Background
Wild Montana is a nonprofit advocacy group working to preserve Montana’s wild public lands. Their website, built on WordPress, had been heavily customized over the years—resulting in a backend that was fragmented, fragile, and difficult to manage without advanced technical knowledge.

Our Approach
We began by setting up a local development environment and diving into the backend structure.
Work Highlights
Backend Codebase Review & Access Fixes
Audited the custom WordPress environment, resolved access issues, and documented backend limitations that had previously blocked internal team edits.
Improved Developer Workflow
Updated the local/staging workflow to allow team members (regardless of OS) to pull down and deploy backend edits more easily.
Homepage UX Enhancements
Made targeted visual and structural improvements to the homepage to improve clarity and alignment with Wild Montana’s brand.
Custom Campaign Design in Figma
Designed the “Not For Sale” campaign landing page from scratch, blending existing brand elements with a fresh visual style.
SeedProd Build with Custom Features
Used a new-to-us page builder to develop a responsive landing page with advanced features, including a custom slider, embedded video, and downloadable banner assets with modal previews.
Phased Launch Strategy
Rolled out an interim version quickly, then replaced it with a high-fidelity design—ensuring the campaign launched on time without compromising quality.
Backend Documentation & Team Enablement
Created clear documentation of backend workflows and site architecture, empowering Wild Montana’s internal team to manage updates with greater confidence and less technical friction.
